I visited Hamburg in August and had a brilliant time - as I always do.

But, several local people expressed surprise that tourism from the UK is permitted. I got the feeling some people would perhaps prefer that we didn't visit just yet.

I am hoping to visit again in November and wondered if this is still the case? Have things changed in Hamburg at all? What do people think about visitors from the UK? Should I wait a little longer?

you are very welcome to visit Hamburg again. In my point of view, vaccinated people from UK are more welcome than unvaccinated people from Germany, not only to fulfill 2G but also as we need to end the pandemic as soon as possible.
If you think about visiting Miniatur Wunderland with people who are not fully vaccinated, you need to make sure that this is allowed on the planned day.

I will plan to visit again in November or December when - maybe - the South America section will be open.

I have had both doses of the vaccine and hope that by November I will have had a third vaccine booster.

Everyone I met in Hamburg in August was very friendly but one or two people were really shocked that (fully vaccinated) visitors from the UK were allowed. I understand this and don't want to offend or upset anyone.

Great! You don't need this third booster here to keep your status "fully vaccinated", nevertheless it is very useful to have it.

People who take care about others are always welcome and I believe that you try to minimize the risk as best as you can.

I am one of the people who spoke out loud against authorities who allowed UEFA to let 60.000 both vaccinated and unvaccinated people come into the Wembley stadium in July. In my opinion, the failed corona politics of Boris Johnson, Donald Trump, Jair Bolsonaro and others killed hundreds of thousands people. And I am very angry about science despisers who claim that corona is fake. But as Sascha (writeln) says, this should not seperate people.

We ourselves have many thousand Corona deniers in Germany who reject regulations and demonstrate without masks and distance so why should I have any preconceptions against visitors from UK who are considerate and take care like you do? Of course it would be better if no one would go anywhere and just wait till its over, but Miniatur Wunderland can't survive without visitors and it is nice to have responsible visitors.

It would be very nice to meet you some day in Hamburg, at the latest maybe in September 2022?
