I have just booked a flight to Hamburg for next Saturday!

A lot of things can go wrong - travel is fraught with difficulty at the moment - but I'm going to try to come and visit.

I had a message from MiWuLa to say that they have very kindly extended my Annual Pass until the end of August, so I'm going to try to use it.

With some luck by the evening of Saturday 31st I should be walking through the hallowed doors.

To say I'm excited is a huge understatement!

What about quarantine?

The latest regulations for visitors from UK do not require quarantine for people who are fully vaccinated - I think. If I am wrong this could be either a very short (or a very long) visit.

I am sending this message from the MiWuLa bistro - I have arrived!

I have taken great care to read every rule and follow it all very carefully for immigration into Germany and for MiWuLa. The officers at immigration into Hamburg were friendly but checked my vaccine status and other paperwork very carefully - as they should.

I understand that this is not the right time for socialising, but I hope I will see some forum members here at a future visit. Everyone who says "hallo" gets beer!

Just for now, I am so happy to be here. MiWuLa is as magical and Hamburg is as beautiful as ever.
