Ich komme zurück!

I booked flights to visit Hamburg a few weeks ago. I can't believe how the situation has got bad again for international travel. I am still planning to come though and am looking forward to seeing the changes at MiWuLa. I would expect to be there on Saturday, Sunday and Monday morning. I fly home again on Monday afternoon.

I know that many people will not wish to socialise at the moment, but if anyone approaches me in MuWuLa and says "Hallo, Herr Grün" I would be delighted to buy them a beer in the bistro. MiWuLa staff, random strangers or literally anyone.

Ich bin sehr aufgeregt!

Hi Mr. Grün! A very good timing, because "the bridge" and the Brasilian part (Rio de Janeiro) is open for public. I have been there some hours before (today) and I promise you, that it is sensationell! On the other hand side there are not so many visitors (today), and all can look and are impressed.
Maybe I will come on Monday morning - I like beer in the morning!

And now I'm in Hamburg! I cannot express in words how excited I am to be back here. Tomorrow morning I will be walking through the hallowed doors at MiWuLa to renew my annual pass - and see South America.

I am so grateful to the people of Hamburg for being so open, friendly and welcoming - and for making some especially good beer.

Well this was a very welcome surprise!

Thank you so much for recognising me at MiWuLa this morning and taking time to show me many of the small details - and helping me to learn more German. I now know "Der Beamer!"

This was a fantastic way to spend my final morning in Hamburg. After a few days traveling alone, your companionship really made me smile - as can be seen in the photo!
