Hello. I am a producer at Daily Planet on Discovery Channel Canada looking for help from the German RC community. MiWuLa suggested I use this forum. I am coming to Germany in late May or June to shoot short documentaries and would like to do a story about a German RC aircraft, ship or vehicle.
I am looking for large, detailed or amazing RC projects, completed or in the works. The key word is "amazing". The story could also be about skilled RC operator who can do incredible things with their vehicles (like "air dance" with a plane, or "drift" with RC cars). I am also interested in finding interesting RC ships, especially historical vessels, like Bismarck or a WW2 U-boat. The key thing is, it's got to be amazing and very visual. With the model makers help, I will make a very cool short documentary.
A little about me: I am a science journalist and TV guy, and a big fan of Miniatur Wunderland. I visited MiWuLa last year and made a documentary about it. Here is a link to the video: http://watch.discoverychannel.ca/clip385948#clip385948 Here is a story shot in Texas about Mini-Battleships: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tola8-E6oGQ
Best way to reach me is e-mail, ben.schaub@ctv.ca
Thanks,
Ben.
